Party decor startup branding: how Unbox Your Party put a whole celebration in one box
A themed-party brand whose product changes every weekend. The logo had to show what never changes: the moment the box opens.

Event and party businesses are among the hardest startups to brand. The product changes with every booking: unicorns on Saturday, a board game on Sunday, a tea stall for an anniversary. A logo that tries to show any one theme is out of date by the next party. So what should it show?
For Unbox Your Party, the answer was already in the name.
The brief: a party that arrives ready
Unbox Your Party delivers themed celebrations. Parents choose a theme, and the team arrives, unboxes everything and sets up the decor end to end, the cake stand included, and the cake too if the family asks for it. Kids' birthdays, half birthdays, anniversaries and office parties all follow the same idea: no hunting for decorators, no customising every detail yourself.
That is a strong promise, and a simple one. The identity's job was to say it in a single glance, to a parent scrolling Instagram at midnight.
Draw the name, not the decor
We drew the exact second the name describes: a blue gift box with its lid in the air, a red ribbon set loose and confetti already flying. The best startup logos don't describe the category. They show the moment the customer is paying for.
Every part has a job. The gift colours, a blue box and a red bow, are recognised by a child long before they can read. The name sits in tall, hand-drawn capitals, slightly uneven on purpose, because the brand's parties are handmade too. And because the box never sits closed, the logo always feels like the party has started.
A party brand should look like the second before everyone shouts surprise.
Brand the moment, not the menu.
An identity with room for every theme
Themed-party brands have a special problem: the work is louder than the logo. The identity had to stay recognisable next to unicorns, Boss Baby cut-outs, a Splendor backdrop or a masquerade, without competing with them. So it stays in the box and the name, and leaves the colour of each party to the party. Built from separate pieces, the mark can also move, which suits an Instagram feed far better than a static badge.
We went beyond the logo
Most branding projects end at the guidelines. This one didn't. For the brand's first 10 parties, we worked hand in hand with the client: thinking through themes, taking the identity onto everything printed, and helping with production until each setup was out of the door. An identity only proves itself once it is out in the world, and the first ten parties are where a young brand is built.
The parties, styling and photographs are the client's own work. We brought a brand that made them recognisable, and a pair of hands while it found its feet.
What event and gifting founders can take from this
Brand the moment, not the menu. Your themes, products or hampers will change; the feeling you deliver won't.
Use colours your customer already understands. Gift colours say celebration before a word is read.
Let the craft show. Hand-drawn type tells people a human made this, which matters for anything handmade, from party decor to gifting.
Choosing a branding studio for your startup
If you're starting an event, party decor or gifting business, whether you launch in Hyderabad, Bangalore or anywhere else, look for a startup branding agency that will start from your name and your customer, not from a template, and that is willing to stay for the launch. As a branding studio for startups in Hyderabad, that is how we work. Our guide on choosing a branding agency in Hyderabad covers what to ask before you hire one.
